Just Add Whiskey!
I cannot adequately express how happy I am with this whiskey decanter set. It’s absolutely beautiful, like something a James Bond villain would use to serve a captured hero. “Can I offer you a drink, Mr. Bond?” Seriously, this set is totally amazing.It comes (lovingly) packed in tons of Styrofoam, plastic, and cardboard, and it arrived without a chip or crack.After cleaning everything well, I used a funnel to fill the King with whiskey (double black, if you’re curious). There are two Pawn glasses for drinking, and two mini-chess board coasters to set them on. Let me just say, when you pour someone a drink from a king into a pawn and slide them the glass, there are dozens of witty things you can say to make the moment more fun. “Your move,,” is a pretty good one. Or perhaps “Checkmate.” But if you really want to go next level, say “En Passant.” This is French for “In passing” and it’s an oft forgotten chess rule where a pawn can take another pawn that moves two spaces and passes it. If you’re not familiar with the rule, look it up for a better idea of how it works. Most people won’t get it, but you’ll know, and I’ll give you a virtual high-five for saying it, though we’re likely hundreds of miles apart.Anyway, this is an lovely gift for a whiskey enthusiast, chess lover, or would-be Bond villain. It would make an excellent gift, or a wonderful addition to any home bar or office, and I give it my absolute highest recommendation.

Wow. What a nice Decanter Set. I absolutely love it. The set is actually much larger than I expected. I saw the measurements but my brain doesn’t think in CM.The glasses are almost six inches tall! The decanter (King) itself is over 13 inches including the topper. My guess is this will hold well over a fifth. I can’t imagine anyone drinking an entire pawn in one sitting! I’m not disappointed in the size, just surprised.This is definitely a SAY SIMETHING centerpiece. It won’t be a quiet unassuming addition that sits in a corner. It will take center stage in any room. I think this set is beautiful, and elegant in its simplicity. When filled with the proper liquid it is sure to be an eye catcher!This would be an excellent gift for that Whiskey loving chess enthusiast that you you just can not find the perfect gift for.I was worried about shipping, but the set is extremely well packaged in styrofoam and was recieved in three total boxes – the box for the shelf, the original shipping box, and the Amazon box. The original shipping box does have the company logo on it, so if this is a gift for someone, it’s good they added the additional box. The box is roughly 2×1.5 feet, so the glass is very well protected by thick styrofoam.Unfortunately, I don’t plan to set this out until my Christmas party, so I have put it back in its packaging for safety and did not think to get pictures.

Huge and super cool
This Chess Whiskey Decanter Set is super cool! I gave it to my husband as a gift and he loves it. We enjoy setting it up for a party or just having it enhance our everyday bar space. The pieces are humongous and very well made. This set really is a conversation piece and givez our bar area some elegance. We are also learning chess so we will play and drink from this set when we lose pieces. Its pretty fun!5/5 beautiful, fun, large and solidly made, unique and giftable

I ordered this item as a gift and could not have been happier with it. This decanter set arrived exactly as described/pictured. It is very well made and well packaged as to make sure it arrives to its destination without fear of breaking. I must say that the recipient of this gift was very impressed as well. Really nice decanter, lacks some practicality. But looks awesome.
What I like:Looks amazingLargeIncludes 2 checkerboard coasters and stand.Overall this is a great conversation starter and can add some class to a bar area.What I didnt like:Fill hole at the top of the decanter is very small. Most whisky bottles have fat round spouts and arent meant to pour into anything other than a glass. I used the largest funnel I had to pour that 1-liter bottle of Crown (Get it?? Crown?? Eh?) and I didn’t have much wiggle room at the top to allow for air backflow.Holds more than 750ml and less than 1 Liter. See image.The pawns are not shot glasses. If that is shot glass for you, remind me never to drink with you.Do you cold or chilled whisky? Well too bad because the bottle neck at the top of the pawn isnt large enough to allow much of anything. I have a set of whisky stones and they dont fit. As you can see from the attached image, the stone is too big to fall into the glass.

It’s Huge!
Totally unexpected! When I saw the size of the box, I was really surprised. I opened it, and inside there was another box and it was large and heavy. Once opened and pulled out, I was in total shock of the size of this decanter set. It’s jaw dropping beautiful, large and heavy. I did not expect this at all but I’m definitely happy with this Chess Whiskey Decanter Set. If you have a home bar, work bar, enjoy chess or just an area needing a center piece, this is it! 5 Stars!

This is awesome! Definetly worth the price! I love the fact that they included coasters that resemble a chess board. The shot glasses are perfect for those whiskey shots. Lol. I love this! I gifted this myself for Christmas and DO NOT REGRET IT! If you’re on the fence about this, don’t be! Get it! You won’t be disappointed.

Great Gift for Chess Fan
Very nice decanter set for any chess fan. Quality is very good and larger than expected, holding approximately 1.5 750ml bottles of whiskey or spirit of choice.The glass is packaged very well, and there should not be a worry of breaking during the shipping process.The fill hole at the top of the decanter is very small and makes it challenging to fill if you do not have a funnel. This also makes the cleanup process difficult.The title is slightly deceiving. The pawn shot glasses hold 9oz each (6 shots). They are better suited to sip on your whiskey or spirit of choice. If you enjoy your beverage on the rocks, you will not be able to use standard whiskey rocks with these glasses.The mahogany base is a nice statement piece for the set, and it elevates your bar cart. The coasters are large and have an anti-slip cork bottom.

Perfect gift for anyone who likes chess or drinking. This set is well made with thick tall glass and beautiful chess boards as coasters. The 2 glasses are incredibly cute and it’s NOT cheap. Heavy glass and definitely worth every penny
