Upper half of the Globe Will Not Close
The globe comes in two pieces with the hinge already attached to the lower half. One of the last assembly steps is to attach the upper half of the globe to the hinge which is supposed to make the two halves form a whole globe when it’s closed, right? You would think so anyway but the pre-drilled holes are not in the correct position to allow the globe to close completely. If you remove the four screws attaching the upper half to the hinge and place the two halves together they fit perfectly.With both halves joined together by the hinge the upper half, which is supposed to be the lid if you will, cannot close completely. In fact it’s not even close.Expect to have a six inch gap in the front when you try to close the lid.No amount of adjustment will resolve the issue.This is a design flaw.
