Exactly as advertised
I started by searching for bar carts, and found most of the results ultra modern or visually unappealing. When a globe popped up in my search I realized this would fit the vibe of my home perfectly. I discovered they come in several sizes, so I measured my space and chose the model that fit best. This piece came with very clear picture directions – I prefer words, but these worked for me. All holes were drilled fully and straight, and I was able to assemble most of the pieces with no tools. I did pull out a wrench to tighten the screws on the hinge, since they will get the most wear. Some of my tallest bottles are a very tight fit, but the openings in the base accommodated my entire collection, 6 larger bottles and three to four smaller ones. I don’t intend to move it far, but I have had to reposition it a time or two while rearranging my furniture to fit it best. Although it is now full it did roll smoothly on my carpet.

Really easy setup, and a good size. Sturdy even on its wheels. Only downside is you can’t really put more than 8 or 9 bottles on/in it… not a ton of storage inside or below. But for a couple bottles or decanters with nice glasses it’s perfect, and did I mention classy?

Review after five years of owning
I have owned this liquor cabinet for five years now and will say that it has held up great. Although I am happy with the purchase I am giving four stars because I would expect just a slight bit more from the product that is priced over $200. The product was very easy to assemble and took only about 10 minutes or so.Where the product falls off a little bit is the craftsmanship and the sturdiness of it. It does the job of holding multiple bottles of liquor on the top and the bottom as well as the glassware but it does wobble slightly opening and closing. When opening the top it doesn’t feel solid but is definitely usable and has not shown any defects from opening and closing many many times.All that being said I would recommend this purchase to any one who’s always wanted a classic style globe cabinet at a decent price.

It looks great from the distance. Up close, there are some imperfections in the wood finish, and small imperfections / tears in the paper that the globe is printed on.What bugs me the most is the way in which the bottom part of the globe – that serves as the main support area for whatever you put inside – is supported. It is sitting on top of a single wood post with about 8 mm diameter wood dowel pin sticking out from top of the post into the globe. This dowel is all that keeps it in place and there’s no other support. The top edge of the bottom half of the globe contacts the round wooden disk that is bolted to the three posts you can see in the picture. The idea is that this would prevent it from tilting and as long as it doesn’t tilt the wooden pin will not break. Still, I am a bid worried about loading it up with a few bottles and glasses and having it all sit on one small pin with no other means of support. Time will tell how well it’s engineered.Another problem I have with that design is the inside area. The wooden disk that separates top and bottom parts of the globe has cut outs in it. The central cutout is large enough that a couple of bottles of alcohol can fit comfortably. The side cut outs which are intended for glasses are too narrow for my regular sized scotch glasses.On the other hand, when assembled, it does look great and not cheap as I was afraid it would. Time will tell how it stands up to use. For now I give it 4 stars but it’s really 3 1/2.

Lots of compliments from people
This globe goes very well with my little set up. It holds my 6 glass set inside with room for other odds and ends. I only wish it sat slightly higher from the base, as I have 1 decanter that is ever-so slightly taller than the others. It would also otherwise accommodate wine bottles. As it is, I love it! I think it looks absolutely wonderful!

I bought this for my husband’s Christmas present; before buying, I read a lot of reviews, some of which criticized the construction and cartography on the globe. I disagree! It’s decorative! You’re not supposed to be mapping your way through shark-infested waters with only the north star to steer by…with a bar/globe (if you are, my deepest condolences and….I expect your memoirs to be published shortly because I’d like to read that story!). If you are a professional antiquarian cartographer and the inaccuracies of the globe are going to bug you, then don’t buy. It’s a lovely decorative piece that is easy to assemble, holds a decent amount of alcohol, and makes any room look more scholarly. Plus, it’s perfect for disguising booze if any teetotaling guests come by! Nothing to see here! 🙂 My husband loved it!

I purchased this bar globe for my husband for christmas. He had been fascinated by one he sees in our attorneys office for years, but I always thought the price would have been way out of my league, so I never thought twice about purchasing one for him. I found many on Amazon from many different companies, so I wasn’t sure which manufacturer to go with. I’m so pleased I chose Toscano Design company. When he opened the box, it seemed like there might be a challenge building it, however, once its all laid out, it couldn’t be easier! It took 7 minutes and no cuss words. 🙂 The bar is fascinating while the lid is closed, and when its opened up its even more elaborate and exquisite. There is plenty of room for stemware, shot glasses, cordial glasses, whatever your desire, as well as 3 bottles in the center part of the globe. Underneath the globe there is also plenty of more storage, I’d say enough room for 9 more bottles. It even fits our large decanter, which is now displayed in this beautiful piece. I’d go as far as saying its like a piece of furniture on wheels so you can wheel it to wherever the party is happening. I noticed this company had the same thing “made in Italy”. If you can afford it, get that one, however, I purchased the one made in China because of the lower price tag, and couldn’t be happier with my decision. It is truly a beautiful addition. It is the type of item that will be an inheritance piece, as many have already made their claim on it! If they only knew how affordable it is, they would be purchasing their own. I don’t tell them the price. I just let them think we paid alot 🙂

Nice for the price & nice wood
I received the bar globe in a timely fashion; as it said up to seven days and it arrived in 6 days. I read a lot of reviews on this product before I decided to finally purchase it so I was kind’ve eager to see it since it had mixed feedback. For the price, I believe it is a nice product. My son who is 15 actually put it together in 20 minutes its really easy to do. They provide you once piece of paper for assembly and it only comes with a few pieces. You don’t even need a tool to put the thing together. I did notice what most of the reviewers mentioned about the map not properly aligning, but seriously I had to look really really close to notice that! It’s sturdy, well made, and rolls easily on carpet without wobbling. I was nervous to let the globe hang open but to my surprise it hangs open pretty sturdy with no problems. I am a huge wine drinker so I am sure this is going to be a conversational piece when entertaining. I would give it five stars but I feel the only thing they could improve on is the globe alignment, even though its not a big deal for me it seems it should be important to them to get that one detail better. I would highly recommend this, and I am enjoying it so far!!

Beautiful and a great size
To get it out of the way, yes, some of the seams of the prints do not line up exactly; that being said, you have to look closely to notice, and so for me personally it is not an issue. The coloration is outstanding, and mine arrived in excellent condition – no scratches, smudges, or dents. It went together in about 15 minutes with no trouble.It’s also an excellent size. The interior can easily hold 3-4 bottles or a decanter, and the bottom has plenty of room for more. The slots on the inside are 3 1/8″ wide and 3 3/4″ deep, so slightly too narrow and deep for a typical whiskey tumbler (the ones pictured are held up about half an inch or so from the bottom) but would work well for wine glasses or narrower tasting glasses. You could fit 8-10 total, depending on the dimensions.

This is a great product for the money. Easily assembled, all parts were there and lined up nicely. I bought it for my wife for Christmas and I can’t wait to give it to her. I just wanted to review it quickly so that if anyone is thinking about getting it for Christmas they would know how nice it is. The shipping was unbelievably fast, ordered it on Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday. Beautiful piece.

Nice – but not suitable for storing most standard bottles.
Nice piece, but a bit sloppily done as far as the map images.My only real issue is that the outer storage ring inside the globe is too narrow for the average scotch bottle, much less those with a short and wide profile, and the clearance is too low for any taller bottles. The middle well, on the other hand, is deep enough for my tallest .75L bottles. Note that the lower storage area can only accommodate shorter bottles due to the lower hemisphere of the globe – so don’t expect to store more than four tall bottles.

A fun piece, albeit a little cheaply made.
This is a fun piece, no doubt. You can fit 4 bottles in the middle and a load of glasses round the rim. The rim track is only 3″ wide so most tumblers will not fit, but highballs, 16oz beer glasses and wine glasses that are not too tall will fit. It is somewhat cheaply made. You can see the seams of the segments that make up the maps of the globe and some of them are quite far off relative to each other. On one of my segments is off by about 1/2″, but because the colors are dark and there’s not much contrast in the map, it doesn’t leap out at you. It would be nice if it bore closer scrutiny though.Like all pieces that need assembly, put the extra effort into tightening everything up firmly. It will feel more solid and last longer.Mine is precisely located in a small place on a sloping hardwood floor and the lid flips up into a corner and rests against a cabinet and a wall, so it’s important that it doesn’t move around. I put brown rubber castor cups on the feet and this holds it firmly in place.

Cool product for the price
Arrived 2 days early. Easy to assemble with a flat head screw driver and half inch wrench, or adjustable wrench, for the hinge nuts. Peices lined up fine. Rolls fine, even with the bottles and glasses in the thing. There are a few parts of the globe where the paper strips cut out some words and coastlines, but only if you look closely at it… I didn’t even notice until after reading another review and then relooked at Florida and the text in the ocean. Other than that, it looks cool… not planning to use it for navigating, and after a drink or two, not really caring about the detailing, so just the overall look is what was important to me. It has an old style compass rose on the bottom shelf, and the ring near the equator has all the signs of the zodiac. The artwork inside the top of the globe when opened is cool. The northern and southern hemisphere peices stay movable, so you can position it how you want so your side of the Earth of choice is in view no matter where you set it up in a room. Thought that was a cool feature.Besides the hard to notice misalignment of some of the paper strips, (which doesn’t bother me at all, but might be important to others) this is a cool setup for the price.Cheers!

This item was used a prop. The package came earlier than expected 😊 and it was easy to assemble 😊and looked great on camera. HOWEVER, it was missing piece “C” which made it less sturdy . The bottom half of the globe wobbled more than it.should have 😌.

Great for the value. I find it to be extremely sturdy, not ur constant roll around item, but sturdy to sit stationary and moves easily to clean under and around. It is ur typical pressed wood, and pre installed bolts/pegs so to deal with loosening up a little lock tight or thread lock would do justice during assemble.( I use it all the time when I put together furniture or pieces i don’t intend to break down again). No misalignment issues as far as the globe like others mentioned.

Buyer beware!
You got to be kidding me right?… the vendor is selling this globe bar for $200? It might be worth $75. I received this globe bar delivery today and put it together. It looks good from a far, but is very, very… very poor craftsmanship. Looks like Italy, but made (and I use the term loosely) in China, at least that is what the decal said on the globe. The spindle legs paint flakes off easily. I had that happen during assembly. This vendor owes me three new spindles as I see it. Also, poor drilling of holes in the product and a series of holes conflicted with each other for hinges and globe separator trim piece. Where the holes were drilled on top of one another there was no way that the hinge for the top globe section would be able to mount flush. I had to drill new holes for the new hinge. I watched this vendor’s video and raised an eyebrow. Nice video and seems sincere, but after receiving this product, I have my doubts about them now. It feels like I was fleeced by a snake oil salesman. At one time I too was a business owner. I would have never sold anything like this to my customers. They need to hire a QA/QC person that actually checks their products that sell for defects and workmanship before sending it off to a customer. Shipping an item that you got at a cheap price from China and probably paid $50 for and then collecting $200 from customers that you sell it to is pretty shameful in my opinion. If I sound irritated, it is because I am. This product is absolutely pitiful in what is sent to you. I can not wait to talk to this vendor on the phone! Buyer beware of both product and vendor…

I’d recommend this globe bar for anyone who enjoys a nice alcoholic beverage by the fire, surrounded by leather bound books in a leather-wrapped arm chair.Seriously though, I bought this globe bar for my boyfriend a year ago for Christmas. He loves it. It was easy to assemble, and it’s sturdy enough for all of his whisky and some glasses.No, the design on the globe does not match up at every seam, but you only notice if you read an Amazon review and then look really closely! This is not a product for learning geography, it’s for beverage storage.The only suggestion I have is that there be more room on the inside for bottles, because the glass holders take up a lot of space and there is really only room for four whiskey bottles. Note however there is some storage on the bottom outside of the globe for smaller shaped bottles.

Great gift! I purchased two of these for my husband and father in law for Christmas (both very Italian!!). That meant I had to assemble both. It was so easy and took very little time! The maps don’t really match up but who cares. For the price? I don’t think anyone is analyzing this up close anyway. I covered them with big black garbage bags because I couldn’t figure out how to wrap them, and rolled them into the living room x-mas morning. They were surprised and loved them! We have it in our living room with all of our alcohol and wine glasses displayed. My father in law has his set up the same as us only in his dining room. Very unique gift for an Italian, or anyone who is into this kind of thing.

Poor Quality Overall
When I purchased the Globe Bar Cart (without extended lower shelf) I wasn’t expecting a lifetime piece of furniture but I felt based on the price and reviews, it would be of at least ‘ok’ quality and I could use it regularly in my office. After assembly, that is definitely not the case.Pros:Shipping speed was fast and it is super easy to assemble.Cons:This item is extremely bare bones and not very sturdy at all. There is minimal hardware holding it together and the entire globe actually rests on the lower cart base by a single wooden dowel. All of the materials are very thin and made of super light weight compressed wood (I don’t believe there’s any solid wood pieces). It does look pretty good once assembled but if this item is going to be around children of any age or someone isn’t VERY careful opening the lid, it’s going to break for sure.Recommendation:Purchase for staging or visual aesthetics ONLY. This is not a bar cart that can handle any type of regular use.

Classy globe bar for any young adult
So I bought this on sale about half off. First off holy crap this global bar is amazing! Secondly I can’t believe how cool it is for how cheap I bought it. Everyone that comes over compliments it and thinks its awesome. So far I’ve only put a few bottles in it, but I feel like I’ll be able to put around 10 bottles in or on it. Yes the map isn’t perfect and yes the material is basic, but what does anyone expect for a globe bar that is less that $500.Edit: 10/10/19I’ve had this for more than 1.5 years now. It’s absolutely amazing. I’ve had 20 bottles rotating on it year round. Holding up great. No issues.

Its a sad state when a company includes all parts and it actually makes an impression. Not only did they safely send the product with all parts but everything was neatly packaged and included were very easy to follow directions. These were normal size directions and not those typically included that are the size of a credit card.I was also pleased with the design. It seemed well engineered with quality parts.Cosmetically, it looks great. Also, i was pleasantly surprised with a little bonus gift. A nifty wine and bottle opener!A few nit pick things that i will not take any stars away for:1) Color is a bit orange for me. This is very subjective I understand.2) I did expect it to be a bit larger3) I expected the globe to be wood but it is plastic. Probably my fault for not reading more carefully.4) It does seem like something that while sturdy now, storing heavy bottles could wear it out in a year or two.Having not used it yet, i look forward to seeing how well it stores my liquid treasures.

If you’re considering it, JUST DO IT!
WOW! I looked at this item several times on amazon before pulling the trigger. It seemed to be highly rated but I was worried because of a very few negative reviews. A few customers complained that the paper strips used on the globe to create the map didn’t line up perfectly. Well… they don’t. However, I don’t plan to use the mini bar for navigation. Lol. Theres lots of art work on the entire bar that does look really cool. From across the room or even up close, IT LOOKS GREAT! It came in maybe a dozen pieces and was easily assembled. My only slight disappointment was when put together, it seemed a bit smaller than what I imagined. Wasn’t disappointed for long and quickly got used to the size. Inside I have eight wine glasses and three bottles of liquor. I have four bottles stored on the bottom shelf with room for one or two more. The only other slight negative is that with the lid closed, it didn’t line up properly with the bottom half of the globe. I easily fix it. I unscrewed the lid hindge, then set the lid on exactly where it should be when closed, move the hindge over about a quarter inch, and drilled new holes where they should be. Like I said, I only move the hindge over about a quarter inch so the hindge plate even still covered the original holes so you don’t see them. It only took maybe ten minutes. Now it closes perfectly. Problem solved. They all may not be the same and you may not even have this slight problem. Usually I’d be upset about having to work to fix something brand new in order to make it right but surprisingly, I didn’t mind at all. I’m sure you could find a similar globe bar that has a perfect map but I’ve been shopping around for a long time for an item like this and trust me, YOU”LL PAY A LOT MORE! For the price, you can’t beat this one. Again it’s gorgeous and if your looking for one in this price range, don’t waste anymore time and just buy this one.

We a bit nervous after ordering. Photo on website looked good, but photos can lie. Actual piece is very nice. Not real cherry wood, but a nice simulated finish. The decals on the globe don’t perfectly match, so if you look closely at the globe, there are places where the panels are off by a quarter inch or so. As a working globe this would be a show stopper, but it’s only evident if you are trying to use it as a globe. As a piece of eye-candy, it works very well. Very nice looking.Capacity wise, I have one or two unusually shaped bottle that won’t fit inside the globe, but they sit undeneath in the rack. Holds about 4-5 bottles of liquor inside globe and about six underneath. There is a row for glassware that holds about 6-8 glasses. Don’t really drink wine, so can’t speak to the capacity for wine glasses.Easy assembly, but you will need a bladed screw driver and a small wrench which are not included.

I almost didn’t purchase this because some of the not so good reviews, but I’m glad I did. Arrived in just a day so shipping was super fast. Everything came together in less than 10 minutes and packing was excellent so no broken pieces. It’s made to look like a vintage handmade globe, so if you’re looking for something with perfect lines and accurate placement you should get an actual globe. I bought this for my private office at work so I needed something classy that would add to the space and it looks beautiful. Best purchase I have made in a long time. Worth every penny.

Surprising quality
This is really a lovely piece. Yes, the map panels are not perfectly aligned. But it is sturdy and really beautiful. The hardware is even distressed to work with the theme. It was very carefully packed, which is a good thing because the mail carrier tossed it around. I’m delighted with this.

the product has a great look and appearance, it is easy to install, although the materials are not exactly of great quality, especially the 2 halves of the globe.Inside the globe it is difficult to keep bottles on the side compartments, or tall glasses, otherwise you won’t be able to close the globe.Overall is good and with a vert attractive price

great product with a couple of exceptions: 1) it could be sturdier. minor complaint, but worth noting. 2) it seems like no matter how tightly you screw it together, the top half will always rotate so that the hemispheres don’t stay lined up.other than that, its great. idk why i bought it since i don’t drink, but i mean, i like it lol.

Very nice. Waited 5 years to get it, happy I finally did!
I had this on my wish list for about 5 years, finally got it. It’s handsome, holds 8 wine glasses and the decanter inside the globe, as well as various bottles on the base, and the wheels to work: you can roll it to wherever you need it (or roll it out of the way). My only grip would be that the box holding the Laguvulin (single malt scotch box, holding the bottle inside) is nearly too big: it would have been nice if the distance from the bottom of the globe to the base was another 2 inches higher to easily hold the really tall bottles.

Yes, your volcano can fit.
The media could not be loaded.
Good home for your volcano. Just cut out the center inside section with a jig saw. Three cuts. Easy. Put a strip of felt all the way around the now cut section. Place a plate inside, larger than the hole. You can use anything. It will be your base for the volcano to sit. I used a small, metal disk that came out of an instapot. Really, it’s a good solution if you want to stay undercover.

Great, sturdy bar cart with plenty of storage
This piece is absolutely fantastic. It fit 12 bottles (including a few handles and some weird shaped ones) between the bottom rack and the storage in the globe. It took me half an hour or so to put together, but most of that was due to some of the pre-drilled holes not being immediately evident on one of the pieces as they were still papered over.It looks great. Not everything is “perfectly” aligned, but it is close enough that everything is legible and makes it appear handmade. In fact, you can really only tell when pieces are misaligned by actively looking over the globe specifically for issues at a very close distances. Whatever issues earlier purchasers ran into seem to have been fixed. My wife had no idea that some strips were misaligned until I actively pointed them out.I would absolutely order this piece again and have already recommended it to some friends (at least one of which will be ordering it shortly). I’m very excited to have this piece of furniture for awhile!

It’s pretty, seems reasonably sturdy, went together fairly easily. The instructions are those generic all-picture instructions which is kind of a pain, there were a few points where I had to figure out what was supposed to go where. But there aren’t that many pieces to put together so you could probably do it without reading the instructions. The shelf inside the globe looks pretty flimsy. In their illustrations they show it being used to hold empty glasses — I don’t think I’d try to put a full bottle on it. The map on the globe is vague and rather useless, I would have preferred a usable map. It’s not meant to be used as a globe: it’s meant to be used as an off-beat liquor cabinet.

fairly easy to put together…Looks very cool..Like other reviews say it isn’t an exact rendering….it would’ve been interesting to look at if it were accurate but then i would hv rolled it where its at and loaded with liquor and glasses and prob never noticed again…if u want a globe get something else…if u want a cool liquor cabinet the looks like a globe this is a good one…I got it on sale under a 100..It is worth it at that price…u won’t get a lot of bottles inside there but for me it was enuf. You can store more outside on bottom shelf..Some cool glasswear added makes it pretty impressive opened up

Great Product
The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is because of poor instructions. But the product I’m very satisfied with. Important to note one of the holes on the top circle is depressed for a reason. I originally thought it was poor machining but the one hole designed so the top bowl hinge will lay flat over it once the screw is inserted. The small hole on each side of the depressed hole were covered by the illustration had not been punctured which at first confused me. but once I looked closer I could see the punctured were started and I just pushed the screws through them. Once again I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it to a friend

Very nice globe bar but serious design flaw for whisky lovers
This globe bar is very nice for the money. However, you cannot put whisky glasses in the slats. The opening is 3″ and most traditional whisky glasses are 3 1/8 “- 3 1/2” in diameter either at the top or bottom. Shame since the shelf can accommodate it but the opening is slightly too small. I even contacted Design Toscano and they admitted it is an issue. If you are planning to use for wine only, it will work fine.

I knew this globe was a risk after researching a lot before buying. (Basically all of these have some really awful reviews because sometimes it arrives poorly made, broken, etc.) I’m glad I chose this one. It is absolutely beautiful and arrived fine. The decals for the design have some spots where they overlap but nothing bad enough to warrant complaint. It holds a lot and is very sturdy. I do wish is was less yellow and more of a neutral tobacco/tea stain color. The brightness makes it look less ‘authentic’. It looks good in a library because it is in less natural light but I wouldn’t keep it by a window. It’s absolutely full of bottles and glasses but still rolls nicely.
