Easy to remove
Easy to use and clean
Robin F. –
Great idea, poor design.
Love the concept, but unfortunately the two halves don’t deal well and they leak the water out so you get half a Death Star and a frozen puddle in your freezer.
Al –
Large Star Wars cubes
Very cool product.
Sarah-Jane –
Not worth it
These leak water and are virtually impossible to remove the ice from once frozen. Not user friendly
CG –
Difficult to remove
Great concept but unfortunately it is very difficult to remove the silicone cover without damaging the ice ball. Maybe it is best to let it warm before removing.

Worthless
Don’t waste your money. Leaks. Does not hold water!

Quality and dependability.
I have 2 of these and one leaks. The other is still good. I’m finding that this of ice mold leaks over time. I gave 3 stars because one leaks.

Star Wars Ice Mold
Disappointed in finished results…Mold results in no “death star” definition in ice
Althea Thompson –
Very nice, as promised.
I am very happy with this item. It locks together nicely but not too hard, material is sturdy.
Elizabeth –
cute

No instructions
This product doesn’t come with any instructions. It says can be used in oven but,no idea on what temps or how long to back. Also is it dishwasher safe?? I tried to use it in thr feezer & it keeps over flowing, when i try less water it is a half ball. How do i use this?Who knows because it came with NO instructions.

Perfect Gift for my Husband
I got these as a gift for my husband for Christmas and he loved them. They work exactly as described and are just something fun to add to your drink. He enjoys a good whiskey or scotch and so these make the very large ice ball that melts slowly with those drinks. Plus the death star detail is just fun.

Makes an ice ball
This mold works and it creates an ice ball, not sure if it looks like a Death Star as much as the photo depicts.

Take precaution to prevent leaks
So I got a 2-pack. One for ice, and one for epoxy resin casting. The ice one came out horrible. Cracking and looking more like a boob than the death star. I taped up the ice mold with scotch tape at the seam to keep it from leaking (on the second attempt that is). For the resin, it was a much different experience! I taped the mold again, and used a teeny tiny funnel to slowly pour the resin in the mold and then put it in my pressure pot to cure. It came out great!

Not so great
Ice comes out too cloudy and not clear enough to see the design. Got it as a gift for my buddy and he only used them once.
CRISTIAN ARANCIBIA –
No es lo que esperaba
La Estrella de la muerte no se nota mucho. Si le cae agua o apenas viertes una bebida en el vaso, desaparecen los detalles
Peter Bulten –
Great ice mold
These ice molds are really nice, they are super durable and a great size. I would definitely recommend them to any star wars fans.

Keep your expectations low
It’s a fun gift, but keep your expectations low. The ball of ice had some minor detail on it, but the bottom half of the case seems impossible to remove. The only way I can get it removed is to run it under warm water, and this makes all the Death Star detail melt away. It’s also way cloudier than in the photo. But if it’s just a ball of ice you want for your drinks, it’ll do the job.

I didn’t use it right but it still worked!
I made hot chocolate bombs with this. I know it’s not the intended purpose. It however worked!

Kinda cool
I was really excited to use these but in all honesty the indentations aren’t really all that deep so when u pull the cube out, it’s not all that obvious what the shape is supposed to be unfortunately. It is still functional and easy to use though. And with the price not being too high, it may be worth it for you to try it out yourself. Maybe I was just expecting too much, LOL.

Fun to have
Took a couple tries to get the full just right. I am sure you could make clear ones like in their pictures if you use distilled water. All in all not bad and fun to have in a glass of scotch.
Nick –
long shipping time maybe due to holidays
It takes about 6 to 8 hours to set the ice and still trying to figure out a way to make it easier to open when they are done. The mold kinda sticks at the seems when ice has formed but it comes out as a big icy death star. 1 will fill a glass of its need for chill. Haven’t tried jello however I think that would turn out pretty good. It took about a month and a half to get not sure if that was due to the holidays. Might get other shapes but for now these are good.

Gifted!
I got this for a coworker for the holidays- they sent me a photo and it seems to have worked really well for them. It’s not perfect, but it’s still fun. Good for the price- packaging was just some bags, and they need to be washed pretty well because of a strong plastic smell.

Hard to remove and crack often
As described, however ive found tbat they are difficult to extract and often crack in the mold.

Love Death Star ice cube mold
I love the giant Death Star ice cubes. I am still learning how to get that clear ice but still a good product. Only complaint is it can some times be a little tricky to get them out the mold.
Ai –
Awesome product and it got an amazing detail but its not original, or branded
I loved it from the first time, it came 2 molds, the materials are great and the detail is awesome my only issue is thet it doesn’t came branded on the bottom as advertised
Michael Velasquez –
Cool
Awesome. Cool to add to your drink

Good for gifting
This was a big hit as gifts for my friends this Christmas. The cube sphere is a little thicker than I expected so doesn’t work in all my glasses. Looks good but show it off before dropping it in liquid because the features are lost instantly when submerged.
Emma –
The detail is INCREDIBLE!!!
I bought these as a gift for a my dad, who is a total star wars nerd and loves to have a big ice cube in his drink at night. When they showed up I was a little nervous they would leak all over my freezer and the death star wouldn’t show up, but these are AMAZING! The detail on the ice is incredible, and I am so excited to give these to him for Christmas! Make sure you dont fill them all the way or they will overflow a little, it otherwise these were totally worth the money!

Whiskey Balls
These are pretty good for what they are. Theyre 2 silicon molds about 3 inches in diameter that create the design of the death star in ice. They have a small 1/8 inch hole on the top where you fill it and very tiny M/F tabs on either piece to line the 2 pieces of the molds up. I reccomend filling it with about half an inch of room at the top due to the expansion. It takes about 2-3 hours to freeze solid if using cold tap water and an average home freezer. After frozen it can be a little difficult to separate the mold from the ice. The result is really cool and while I don’t reccomend it for guests, it’s a pretty neat take on the idea of a ball of ice for your whiskey.
Jodi Angus –
Mostly good
Works mostly well.It sounds silly but I would have liked some directions or suggestions for success. The first few batches over flowed out of the hole in the top.Water also leaked through the the sides making the Death Star look like Saturn. With more practice I think I’ll get it right.
April Mitchell –
Great gift for dudes!
Love these ice balls ! It’s a two pack so I actually have them as two separate gifts. My husband likes a straight whisky and loves star wars so this was a clear win for me ! Only negative is sometimes it breaks at the mid point when you take it out of the mold but I think we have gotten better at making them.

Works okay, but a but tough to fill
If you don’t get the water level right, they don’t quite work right. But if you do, they come out pretty good. Word of warning, you have about sixty seconds before the detail melts away and you get a smooth ball with a divot in it. But that’s not the mold’s fault…

Easy and cute to use.
I had no issues removing it. I used black meltables to get a silver color. I also sprayed it with edible silver. Do not be intimidated.

works well enough
but as other reviers have notes, the bottom is super hard to pull off unless you have good grip strength. I had a hard time doing it, but it can be done. It doesn’t appear that my husband has a hard time. We bought this for him so that he could have the death star in his whiskey, but try as he might, he has been unable to get the ice cube clear. That being said, it still works to make one large ice cube

Smelled strongly of plastic
I got these and they smelled strongly of plastic – I aired them out for a few days and the plastic smell was still there, I am sad I have to return these because they seem fun
Loretta Lopez –
Great product
This item is easy to use and cool to look at.

Perfect Gift for that booze-loving Star Wars Fan!
The Death Star design comes through very nicely. Sometimes a little hard to remove the ice ball. Holds up well after many uses. Great gift idea for that star wars fan who likes to drink!
StacyNix –
The Rebels need Scotch
If only the rebel scum on knew that scotch was more reliable to destroy The Death Star they wouldn’t of had to use torpedos.
Jake –
Cracked ice
As the ice expands the mold starts to separate and causes a crack down the middle every time. I think the mold could hold a little bit better to prevent this from happening.
Kresta Grabau –
Hopeful but ultimately disappointing
Cool idea, but design barely visible on ice. Oh well.
Amazon Customer –
Good not great
It does make big ice cubes that vaguely resemble a death Star however when I take them out they’re often cracks in the ice and there’s a ridge around the center meaning it leaks into the edges of silicone mold
MGarrett –
Cool Idea but dose not work on its own
These were nice but the issue is the mold breaks open during the freezing process. This makes the ice come out fractured or with extra parts on the side. The only way I have been able fix this by putting something on top of the mold to hold it closed.

Ice Cracks, Bath bomb won’t unmold
Didn’t work for me. I have not been able to get a single bath bomb to work no matter what recipe I try, if they are a “wet” recipe they crack so much you can’t tell what it is and if it is a “dry” recipe it won’t come out of the mold. I have lots of halfs…so I gave up and tried making ice cubes, but again not one has turned out, they all crack on the inside so you can’t see the pattern on the outside.

Nerdy Boyfriend Gift
It was a gift for my boyfriend and he loved it. He uses it for whiskey.

Awesome.
Love them. I’m definitely the coolest person I know… making a cocktail for myself or guests and using a death star as ice…. pretty awesome.

Great valentines gift
Great outcome once you get the water pour right! Don’t fill it up all the way as the water expands
